For over 15 years, the 12 South Farmers Market has been a cornerstone of Nashville’s Sevier Park, attracting families, neighbors, and visitors with its food court, live music, and 50+ vendors. But with its growing popularity came new challenges: how to keep shoppers engaged week after week, how to make vendor information more accessible, and how to provide sponsors with more visibility beyond social media.
Owner Mark Mulch realized that a mobile app could offer a more interactive, personal way for the community to connect with the market. After experimenting with DIY tools that fell short, he needed a professional partner who could create something both user-friendly and powerful—an app that would showcase weekly vendor maps, highlight events, and give shoppers a direct line to the market experience.

A Custom App That Enhances Engagement, Supports Vendors & Attracts Sponsors
With Vyten, the 12 South Farmers Market launched a custom-branded app that seamlessly integrates with Market Spread to update vendor maps each week. Shoppers can now see who’s at the market, get push notifications about upcoming events, and stay connected with vendors even after the season ends. For attendees, the app added excitement and convenience; for vendors, it provided a reliable way to maintain customer relationships year-round.
The app also created new opportunities for sponsorship. The added “wow factor” of being one of the few farmers markets with its own mobile app made it easier to attract and retain sponsors, providing them with a unique advertising channel. Today, the 12 South Farmers Market app sets the market apart from others in the region, strengthens its community presence, and ensures its vendors and sponsors see ongoing value.
